This chart shows the number of Incidents, Arrests and Motor Vehicle citations for the last ten years.  The crimes against Persons, Property and Public Order reflect information provided to Dispatch at the time of the incident.

To place these statistics in context, according to the United States Bureau of the Census in the year 1970 the population of the Town of Plymouth was 18,606.   In 1980 it was 35,913 and in 1990 it was 45,608.  As of 2000 it is reported at 51,701 and for 2010 it is projected to be 59,393.

(These categories do not exactly correlate to those used by the Bureau of Justice Statistics in their reports of nationwide crime statistics.)
