Our photo album
This page will take a LONG time to load.... but we think it is worth
it!
We have some additional photos from the past. Anyone with
additional photos
of members of the department who would be willing to let us scan them in for our
website, please drop us a line.
We believe this to be our oldest departmental photograph. The
date is unknown.
Front row, left to right: Jacob Peck, Leo Murphy, Lincoln Wixon. Rear row,
left to right: Joseph Schilling, John Armstrong (Chief of Police,) John Gault.

This departmental portrait is from
1921. Chief Armstrong is again visible front and center.

This photograph shows Sergeant Thomas McCormick standing downtown
just north of Town Square, sometime in the late 1920's.

This photo shows Sergeants Leo
Murphy and John Gault examining an old musket.
These two sergeants were patrol officers in the first photo. Note how the hats and
badges have changed to a more modern shape, and the blouse has changed from
single to double-breasted.

This photo shows Chief Russell P. Dearborn and another officer with
two cruisers. One
license plate is date 1937. The garage still may be seen today, behind the County
Commissioners Building on South Russell Street.

These two pictures show a motorcycle Officer at our police station
on South Russell Street.
We believe these photos to be from the 1920's.

This photo was taken in our station on South Russell Street, the
current County
Commissioner's building. The man is Chief Russell P. Dearborn. The young
lady is
unidentified, but may have been a secretary. Based on the car in the background,
this
would likely have been taken during the late 1930's or early 1940's.

This photograph shows an officer presenting a young man with
Plymouth, Mass. bicycle license number 001.
The license is dated "1940 1941," allowing us to date this picture.

This is a department portrait, taken on the steps of the Plymouth
Memorial Building.
The officers are unidentified. The time frame is unknown.

Here is a parade passing along Pleasant Street, behind the Training
Green.
The Sergeant leading the way is Sgt. Howard Smith. The first row of officers (l-r)
consists of
Off. Richard Roderick, Off. Arthur Budge, Sr. (retired as Sergeant), Off. Lawrence
Mansfield
(retired as Sergeant,) and Off. Robert Webb (retired.) The next row back (l-r) is
Off. Steve Craig,
Off. Harold Motta, Off. Joseph Monterio, and Off. George Madsen (retired as Chief of
Police.)
We believe this to have been taken Memorial Day 1969 or 1970.
