Chief Pomeroy has earned a Bachelor's degree in History, a Master of Science in Criminal Justice, and a Juris Doctor. He is admitted to practice law in both the State and Federal Court. Chief Pomeroy is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Program and was past president of both the Plymouth County Police Chief's Association and the Southeastern Massachusetts Police Chief's Association. Chief Pomeroy is a former member of the adjunct faculty at Western New England College where he served as a senior lecturer instructing undergraduate and graduate students in the areas of criminal investigation, criminal law, criminal procedure and risk management. Chief Pomeroy was appointed by Governor Mitt Romney to the Massachusetts Joint Labor-Management Committee. Chief Pomeroy served on the Committee from 2001-2006
